Retrieval fetches happen because a person asked a question just then, so they can convert to a visit. Index fetches build a training or search corpus and were never going to send anyone — they are counted separately so the headline ratio is not flattered by traffic that could not convert.
The point of all this: the biggest answer engines crawl dreaming.press directly. Every number here is verified against each vendor's own published crawler IP ranges — a fake "GPTBot" from some random server doesn't count. Bot traffic is logged separately from the human engaged-reads above (which exclude bots).
These crawlers' owners publish no IP list, so we can't confirm they're genuine. Shown for transparency, excluded from the verified count above.
